Getting started
What is KDA Marketplace?
KDA Marketplace is the public online store run by the Kenya Dental Association. We sell dental supplies, books, and KDA branded merchandise. You don't have to be a KDA member to shop here — anyone can register a free guest account and place an order.
Do I need a KDA membership to shop?
No. KDA Marketplace uses a separate guest account system. Registering takes about 30 seconds and only asks for your name, email, phone number, and National ID or Passport number. KDA members already have their own portal at kda.or.ke/portal/members.
How do I create an account?
Click Register in the top right, fill in your details, then sign in. The first time you sign in we send a one-time code (OTP) to your email and phone — enter it, choose a 4-digit PIN, and you're done. Future sign-ins only need your email and PIN.
Is the service free?
Creating an account and browsing the catalogue are free. You only pay for the items you buy plus any applicable VAT and shipping.
Orders & payment
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is processed through iPay, a Kenyan payment gateway. Supported methods include M-Pesa, Airtel Money, debit and credit cards, and direct bank transfer. You'll be redirected to the iPay secure page when you check out.
How will I know my payment went through?
After paying on iPay you'll be returned to a confirmation page on KDA Marketplace showing one of three states: Payment received, Payment did not complete, or Payment pending. We also send a receipt to your registered email. You can check the status of any order from My Orders.
Can I get a VAT invoice?
Yes. Every paid order has a VAT-compliant invoice and a payment receipt as downloadable PDFs on the order detail page. Open My Orders, click your order, and use the orange Invoice and Receipt buttons under Documents.
Can I cancel an order?
You can cancel any order that is still awaiting payment. Once payment is received the order moves to processing and cancellation has to be handled by the KDA secretariat — please contact us as soon as possible.
Do you accept coupon codes?
Yes. If KDA has issued you a coupon, enter it on the cart page in the Coupon code field and click Apply. Discounts are reflected in the totals before checkout.
Delivery & pickup
Pickup or delivery — which should I choose?
Pickup is free and lets you collect at any participating KDA branch. Delivery is countrywide; we calculate the shipping cost from the order's total weight and your delivery address before you check out.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery time depends on courier availability and your location, but typically 2–5 business days within Kenya. We'll update your order status as it moves through processing and shipping.
Can I return an item?
Each product carries its own returns policy — visible on the item detail page. For damaged or incorrectly-shipped items, contact the KDA secretariat within 7 days of receipt and we'll arrange a return or replacement.
Your account
I forgot my PIN.
On the PIN sign-in page, click Forgot PIN?. We'll send a one-time code to your email and phone — enter it, then choose a new PIN. The old PIN is replaced immediately.
How do I update my delivery address?
Open the account dropdown in the top-right corner and choose Addresses. You can add multiple addresses, mark one as default, and edit or remove them anytime.
Is my data safe?
Sign-ins are protected by OTP and a personal PIN. Payment details are handled entirely by iPay and never stored on KDA Marketplace. See our Terms of Service for the full data and privacy commitments.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — email the KDA secretariat from the address registered on your account and request account deletion. We'll honour the request within 14 days, retaining only what's required for accounting and tax records.
