The Kenya Dental Association is the professional association of Kenyan Dentists committed to the public oral health, ethics, science and professional advancement.
The association begun as East Africa Dental Association and was changed to Kenya Dental Association on 28th November 1960. It was founded with the objective of promoting the advancement of dental Practice in Kenya. It has also acted as a as a welfare organ for dental practitioners as well as one of the key promoters of oral health awareness in the country.

The Journal of the Kenya Dental Association (JKDA) is the official quarterly publication of the Kenya Dental Association, established in 2008 (ISSN: 2071-0933). It serves as a key platform for advancing oral health care in Kenya and beyond, featuring original research articles, clinical case reports, reviews, editorials, and guidelines relevant to dental sciences. The journal promotes evidence-based practices, ethical standards, and continuous professional development for oral health professionals. Submissions are peer-reviewed, and authors are encouraged to contribute manuscripts on topics such as preventive dentistry, restorative techniques, surgical interventions, and public health issues in oral care.
